Here is some decriptions on the innovative and so-called "lazy" way to fish.

Circle hooks differ from the normal J hooks by the hangnail tip which points back towards the shank of the hook, rather than parallel of the hook shank

And tying the circle hooks is different from the rest of the hooks as you need the hook to turn and hook up and the side of the mouth of the fish as it pulls away from you :

Remember, DO NOT STRIKE with a circle hook. Just allow the fish to swim away and it will hook itself. Striking will only allow the hook to pull out of the fish.

Another point to note, do not block the gap of the hook,

This is a vital area where the hook needs space to turn and catch onto the fish's mouth.
